This video is out of date, but if you import the FBX instead of from rFactor1, the process is very similar. Dont confuse Race Track Builder with the previous Bobs Track Builder. The workflow I use is: 1) Lay out the road, kerb & terrain meshes in Bobs Track Builder. The only realistic option atm, is to use 3DSimed to import the FBX, and export the GMT files. As it is, Bobs Track Builder is a highly useful tool, even for rFactor2. I've created a track in BTB and woudl like to begin the process of refining it in Rfactor - But I'm confused. Also of my understanding BTB is really more useful for older games (RBR and rF1) where RTB is better for newer titles (such as Assetto).
